About Wired Up

Free lessons and revision for GCSE and A-level subjects. Learn in short steps, watch explanations and practise what you have learned.

Using Wired Up

The available lessons are free to use. There are no subscriptions or payments. If paid features are introduced later, their prices and terms will be explained before you choose them.

Wired Up is an independent learning resource. It is not approved or endorsed by an exam board. Practice results and confidence suggestions are for revision, not official grades.

Use your current exam specification and teacher’s advice alongside these materials. If you find an error, please contact us.

Privacy

Sign up with your email address and a password, then confirm your email using the link we send. Sign in with your email and password to use the lessons. Your account saves your progress so you can return to it on another device. We do not ask for your name, school or date of birth.

We do not use advertising trackers or send your answers to an AI service.

What this browser remembers

Your account saves completed teaching, question attempts, written answers, flashcard ratings, confidence ratings and video position. Your display and sound choices stay on this device.

Essential sign-in cookies identify your session. Unsaved account changes are kept in this tab until they reach the server. Keep the tab open if a saving warning appears. Signing out clears this tab’s account copy.

Work saved before accounts were introduced remains in browser storage until you clear it or the browser removes it. We only import that work if you choose Import my browser progress in Account. Your original browser copy stays unchanged.

On a shared device, sign out when you finish. Avoid putting names, contact details or other private information in written answers. You can turn off remembered display and sound settings in Display options.

Why we use your information

GEEKCLUB LTD is responsible for your personal information. We use your email to confirm your account, reset your password when you ask and provide account support. Supabase stores a protected password hash, not a readable copy of your password. We use saved work to continue lessons and show your progress and confidence suggestions.

We rely on our legitimate interests in providing and securing this free learning service and answering enquiries. We limit what we collect and consider the needs of younger learners. We do not use your email for marketing.

Confidence suggestions are calculated from your learning checks, recall and self-marked answers. They help revision, do not decide an official grade and are not shared with teachers, schools or other learners. You choose your own confidence rating.

Hosting and technical information

Supabase provides authentication and stores account progress in a database in London. Cloudflare sends confirmation and password reset links and forwards support messages to our Gmail inbox, provided by Google. Authorised staff may access account or support information when needed to maintain the service or help you.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. To deliver pages and videos, it handles technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information and request time.

Sampled technical logs and traces help identify faults and keep the service working. They are separate from your saved answers. Cloudflare’s Workers logs and traces have a retention period of up to seven days. Other security and service records may have different retention periods.

Our providers operate internationally, so some support, security and email processing can take place outside the UK. Their transfer arrangements include applicable adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards. See Cloudflare’s data processing terms, Supabase’s data processing terms and Google’s privacy information. Contact us for information about the arrangements that apply to your data.

How long we keep information

Your account and saved progress remain until you delete the account or it has been inactive for 24 months. Old saved versions are removed after 30 days. Deleted data may remain in database backups for up to seven days.

Confirmation and password reset links expire after 10 minutes. Browser sign-in sessions last no more than 30 days before you need another code. Technical log periods are described above.

We normally keep support correspondence for up to 12 months after an enquiry is resolved. We may retain relevant records longer if needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

Your privacy choices and rights

In Account, you can get a copy of your saved data or delete your account and its progress. You can remove earlier browser-only work using your browser’s settings for this site.

Email hello@imwiredup.app to ask for access, corrections, deletion or restrictions where the relevant right applies. Data portability applies in some circumstances.

You can object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests. Contact the same address and explain your concern. We will consider your circumstances and respond.

You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
